Help and contact

Kurshalter is a planning and situational-awareness aid, not a navigation device. No substitute for official charts.

Report a problem in the app

In the app: About Kurshalter → Report a problem. The mail opens with the app version, language, chart edition and device model already filled in. Those four facts are what a report needs; without them it cannot be traced.

Without the app: contact@kurshalter.com. Say what happened and what you expected instead, and name the app version (About Kurshalter), language, chart edition and device.

Kurshalter has no accounts and no crash reporting. We only learn about a fault if you write to us.

Something on the chart is wrong

Seamarks, harbours, moorings and coastlines come from OpenStreetMap and OpenSeaMap. That is also where they are corrected, not here: OpenStreetMap: fix the map, seamarks through OpenSeaMap. Your correction reaches Kurshalter with the next chart update, and every other program built on the same data with it.

Depths, depth contours and tides do not come from OpenStreetMap but from EMODnet, GEBCO and EOT20. If one of those looks wrong, write to us directly. Which source covers what is on Chart data.
